Aric Frons(Israeli/American 1943-2008)
Israeli born artist ARIC FRONS lived and worked in New York City from 1964 to 2005. He studied at the Arts Student League of NY and the School of Visual Arts. A highly successful career in advertising as a graphic designer and creative director in New York, Europe and South East Asia, he redirected his focus from 1970 until 1998 when he dedicated his energy solely to his love of painting and the fine arts.
Cubism, Futurism and Constructivism is evident throughout Frons’ stylistic evolution. The work is evocative of the artists such as Josef Albers, Mondrian, Moholy-Nagy and the Bauhaus school genre, yet entirely his own.
Frons’ command of graphic design and the visual immediacy of the advertising world cohere the award winning artist’s color saturated paintings and prints with an edgy spiritual energy, surprisingly perceptive of what we term "modern" today.
